Steinhaus vineyard

Steep terraced site north of Langenlois with a pronounced southern exposure and a slope of over 20%. The subsoil is dark amphibolite, which is interspersed in places with striking veins of light-colored quartz and feldspar-rich rocks and forms stony soils that are sometimes calcareous. Especially in the deeper areas towards the town of Langenlois, the amphibolite is covered by loess.
