South and south-west facing location at around 300 m above sea level. The silvery, glittering mica schist with intercalations of amphibolite reaches right to the surface here. Silty-sandy weathered soils develop on top, mostly lime-free rocky brown earths.

Intensely minty nose that’s still quite tight. Sleek and lithe with considerable, underplayed energy, this zips very briskly over your palate. Long, crystalline finish. Drink or hold. Screw cap.

James Suckling Review September 2022

2021 Riesling Seeberg DAC Reserve 1ÖTW Erste Lage

Promising aroma of ripe stone fruit, above all apricots and peaches, but then also tropical fruit, pineapple, oranges, with the salty minerality of the site hovering over everything; concentrated fruit, perfectly integrated acidity, muscular – but in the sense of a finely chiseled sculpture; veritable Riesling elixir.

Light yellow-green, silver reflections. White stone fruit, lime zest, flowers, a hint of guava and meadow herbs. Good complexity, lemony-mineral notes, peach touch on the finish, salty aftertaste, finesse-rich, firm food companion, good potential.
