Lovely, fresh nose of sliced pear and ripe yellow apple. Generous and juicy palate, but with fresh acidity that makes this bright and enticing. Long, elegant finish with wonderfully delicate, lemony freshness that pulls you back for more. Drink or hold. Screw cap

James Suckling Review September 2022

2021 Grüner Veltliner Ried Kittmannsberg DAC Reserve 1ÖTW Erste Lage

Extremely multi-layered bouquet of noble tobacco leaf, chestnuts, ripe pome fruit and damp undergrowth; gains even more on the palate with delicate fruit sweetness of lemon tart and kumquats; loess-mineral vein, has power and juice with a clear structure and beautiful balance; lots of variety, lots of terroir.

Light yellow-green, silver reflections. Fresh meadow herbs, white pome fruit, delicate pear and orange zest. Medium complexity, ripe apple, fresh acidity, salty touch on the finish, spicy, already accessible, lime in the aftertaste.

Site: gently sloping, extensively terraced, west of Langenlois, facing SE, sheltered from the wind by a basin-shaped indentation, deep, highly calcareous soils of loamy-sandy silt, formed from multi-storied loess Elegant, classic, fruit-driven, positively “old-fashioned”.
