Burgundy sparkling wine 2007
Tasting notes by Thomas Werani
Melon, honey, marzipan, but also dark berries; fruit explosion on the palate; impressive drinking flow, creamy with finely balanced acidity, always remains on the elegant side.
Great stuff for years – are we really still talking about sparkling wine here …?

Wine year 2007
Budding in the vineyard began very early and the rainfall was also very good for the water balance. Temperatures in May and June were also higher than the long-term average. The heavy hailstorms were a negative factor and large parts of the hoped-for harvest were lost.
The rest of the year was a beautiful Indian summer, just as October generally made up for it with good reading weather. Pleasant daytime and already fresh morning temperatures favored very good aroma development in the grapes.
In general, the high quality of the grapes, which are fully ripe with moderate sugar levels and a good acidity structure, is very pleasing.
